Monitoring Results

Indicator Bacteria  

The faecal coliform bacteria monitoring indicate that the primary contact recreation criteria is exceeded in the mixing cove at the outfall and that average initial dilution was of the order of 10. At sites away from the outfall, faecal coliform levels are negligible.

Biological Communities

At the time of writing no marine ecological assessment of Beares Beach outfall appeared to have been undertaken.
